Sarah qualified as a physiotherapist in 1992, having already gained a sports science diploma. She completed her general rotations before specialising in acute paediatrics, covering all aspects within paediatrics from neonates to respiratory conditions, musculoskeletal (including sports injuries) to orthopaedic conditions.
During her time as a paediatric musculoskeletal physiotherapist Sarah has gained a wide range of skills to complement rehabilitation with children specifically paediatric Pilates to encourage improved postural awareness and core stability in the younger population. She has attended numerous courses (Including Paediatric Pilates and Advanced Orthopaedic Practioner courses) to increase her knowledge and skills within paediatrics.
Sarah’s interest in Pilates has led her into developing her skills further by attending accredited APPI (Australian Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute) courses in Pilates and Antenatal & Post-natal Pilates.
Sarah joined Body 2 Fit as a Paediatric Physiotherapist responsible for assessment, diagnoses and treatment of children with general musculoskeletal problems. She is a member of APCP (Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists) and is currently on the committee of the Paediatric Musculoskeletal Group (Nationally).
Sarah also works for the NHS as an Extended Scope (ESP) Paediatric Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
