Podiatrist
Specialist in Lower Limb Biomechanics
Keith qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry in 1995. He initially worked in his own private practice in the Whitley Bay, but was soon asked to return to the Durham School of Podiatric Medicine where he had previously studied, to do some part-time lecturing. By 1997, the lecturing became full-time, whereupon he developed a special interest in the biomechanics of the lower limb.
Whilst obtaining teaching qualifications, Keith continued to develop his interest in biomechanics and went on to study at Strathclyde University, obtaining a Masters Degree in Applied Biomechanics.
Keith is the acting Programme Leader for BSc Honours Podiatry at the Durham School of Podiatric Medicine. Although lecturing occupies much of Keith’s time, he has a busy private practice, which includes being the podiatrist for Middlesbrough and Sunderland Football Clubs, in addition to his practice at Body 2 Fit.
Through his interest in biomechanics, he specialises in advising on footwear, and in providing customised foot orthotics to improve function of the foot and lower limb in sport and everyday activities.
In addition to his regular work for Middlesbrough & Sunderland football clubs, Keith’s client list also includes:
Newcastle United FC
Hartlepool United FC
Durham Cricket Club
